VALORANT: Teams are reluctant to hire sinatraa, says journalist

Away from VALORANT’s official servers since March 2021 due to allegations of sexual abuse, Jay “sinatraa” has been targeted by several organizations for 2022. However, according to journalist George Geddes, teams are reluctant to sign the athlete. for the season due to his situation.

Because of this, sinatraa is not expected to be announced by any organization at the beginning of 2022. Despite being on the radar and being considered one of the best players in VALORANT without a team at the moment, the accusations against him have made the teams choose not to seek the North American signing.

“He (sinatraa) would need a team that would pay him a ton of money to build a lineup around him in a few weeks. I don’t see him playing the first VCT. I know some organizations look to sinatraa and see him as the best free agent to build a team with, so I can see the interest. But, for obvious reasons, teams are reluctant to pick him up at this point.”

Sinatraa was accused of sexually abusing his ex-girlfriend in March 2021 and received a suspension from the VALORANT competitive scene for six months. He was left out of the Iceland Masters, which would be won by Sentinels, his team, with Tyson “TenZ” being used instead.

In September, his suspension ended, however Sentinels chose to continue with TenZ in his place and he was moved to the bench. With no proposals from other organizations, the American currently creates content on his Twitch channel as the organization’s official streamer.
